Seaguar Knot

The Seaguar knot is an excellent knot for tying braid to monofilment or braid to fluorocarbon. This is often the case when you want a low-stretch setup with a low-visbility leader. The knot is very simple, and very fast to tie. The steps are as follows:

Double Overhand Surgeons

It is often necessary to tie one line to another. The double overhand surgeon's knot is one of several options, and is the reccomended knot for tying braid to monofilament or fluorocarbon. It is fast, reliable, and very easy to tie.

Cinch Knot

The cinch knot is probably the oldest and most commonly used knot in the fishing world. It is used to tie line to an object, such as a hook or lure, but not reccomended for line-to-line applications. Here are the steps to tying a cinch knot:

Palomar Knot

The palomar knot is a great knot to use with monofilament or fluorocarbon. It is best used when tying line to a lure or hook, but not necessarily for line-to-line applications. The palomar has excellent breaking strength; often 96% or better of line stength. It is easy to remember, fast to tie, and very strong---all things that make it one of the most popular knots in the bass fishing community next to the clinch knot.
